We are looking for a highly motivated and forward thinking Sales Training and Development Specialist to design, develop and deliver training to new and existing sales talent within the company. A major objective of this role will be to manage and deliver the intensive Sales Training "Bootcamp" program for all new members of the Sales team. Other responsibilities include providing continuous improvement of learning opportunities for new and current sales professionals to ensure the maximum effectiveness of the company's sales enablement efforts. This role is critical to our organization as it promotes the development of our most important asset, our talent.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Developing, delivering, and continuously improving the intensive Sales Training "Bootcamp" program as well as on-going learning opportunities for the company's new and existing sales professionals and sales leaders, in support of the organization's needs
  • Facilitating learning related to our technology and total suite of product offerings in addition to professional selling skills, our sales process, and information about our clients and the industry
  • Contacting and scheduling internal and external lecturers, motivational speakers, and sales, technical or product specialists for specialized training
  • Utilizing a variety of the training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of the training program upon the learners
  • Directing specific sales training needs assessments to support the design, development and delivery of improvements to the sales training programs
  • Collaborating with existing subject matter experts on current and upcoming products, in order to contribute to the design and maintenance of current and effective training programs
  • Working with Sales leadership to analyze the performance of salesforce so that additional training can be prescribed and developed
  • Assisting sales leaders in identifying strengths and development needs for each sales professional and developing curriculum to support those needs.
  • Providing on-going or additional training to sales professionals struggling or at­ risk with meeting their goals based on skill set and/or competency
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Education or related field
  • 3 - 5 years of professional experience required, including experience in sales or sales training, preferably in a sales environment utilizing standardized sales methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and deliver sales training programs utilizing skills in instructional design, program design & development, and training technologies
  • Solid background in the development and execution of full training lifecycle metrics to measure and drive business results. Understanding of Kirkpatrick's levels of evaluation, a plus.
  • High energy, enthusiastic, motivational training style
  • Strong history of executing the vision of senior management
  • Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, communication, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills required
  • Self-starter with strong sense of ownership and ability to work autonomously
  • Able to quickly establish credibility and earn respect of sellers and sales leadership.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Software sales experience preferred. Knowledge of our product offerings desired.
  • Experience working in the IT Service Provider industry, a plus.
  • Highly computer literate with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and web based systems
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems, a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time if necessary
