Product Manager - Integrations

The Product Manager will be responsible for strategic business planning across any area of
responsibility in the Autotask product line. This involves accountability for product contribution to
organizational goals; as well as definition / prioritization of business requirements and
collaboration with the engineering, client services, sales and marketing teams to execute on the
product plan. The Product Manager will understand the market dynamics and competitive
landscape of the business, and use this framework to set the product roadmap, ensuring that it
aligns with company objectives.
Essential Responsibilities:
  •  Overall execution of Autotask product road map.
  •  Collection, organization and prioritization of business requirements for Autotask software products. Development of business cases or other justification - financial and otherwise - regarding the contents of individual product releases.
  • Timely development and distribution of product-related documentation, including functional specifications, release notes, use cases, release schedules, sales support and all other product communications.
  •  Detailed definition and documentation of application functionality, usability and workflow.
  •  Effective solicitation of business requirements from vested business units, including Client Services, Sales, and Engineering, as well as applicable external sources, including competitive analysis, market trends and other related sources.
  •  Management of product release cycle, including coordination of design, development, quality and deployment efforts, development of change request sets, project management, and communication of product release schedules.
  • Participation in development, coordination and management of Autotask upcoming release preview programs, where necessary.
  •  Participation in product-related activities, including marketing programs, pre- and post-sales efforts, training development, customer support and other business development activities.
  •  Participation in development, maintenance and communication of product standards, including visual styles, terminology, usability, performance and presentation.
  •  Bachelors Degree required
  •  Three-Five years of experience required
  •  Hands-on product management experience in an Internet software environment, SaaS delivery model and recurring revenue as primary business model is preferred; related experience in customer-facing and engineering-related roles will be considered.
  •  A thorough understanding of general business concepts, processes and principles and their applications in a software environment.
  •  Proven ability to collaborate with multiple departments and facilitate an effective, efficient development process while achieving high quality output and meeting deadlines.
  •  Outstanding communication, organization and documentation skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of business units, customers and vested partners.
  •  Experience with all standard business oriented software tools for business productivity and internal / external communication.
  •  Strong ability to articulate business requirements to relevant teams in the development process, and when necessary translate them into functional specifications, use cases and other technical documentation.
  •  Ability to present new strategies, business cases and recommendations to senior management team for discussion and approval.
  •  Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  •  Experience with various Internet technologies.
  •  Positive attitude, enthusiasm, motivation and a desire for continuous improvement.
  •  Willingness to travel to customer locations, trade events, sales meetings, etc.
Integrations Focus:
  •  Participate in management of roadmap for Autotask owned integrations and Web Services API.
  •  Develop a strong understanding of the Autotask Web Services API and tools used for creation of integrations.
  • Develop a strong understanding of accounting concepts and software packages as well as other business systems.
  • Work with partners and developers in the creation and maintenance of integrations.
  • Provide support to partners on usage and capability of the Web Services API and the Autotask PSA platform.
  • Provide support for sales and implementation and participate in customer calls.
  • Work with internal development, quality assurance and client services in all aspects of development, rollout and support of integrations and the Autotask Web services API and other tools.
  •  Participate in administration of and communications for the Integration Developer Program.
